Here Are Leaked Photos Of The Next BlackBerry Phone For Verizon And AT&T

We just got our hands on two images of RIM’s upcoming BlackBerry phone, the BlackBerry Z10.

The source who provided the images says he’s been testing two variants of the phone recently –– one on Verizon and one on AT&T. In one of the photos, you can see Verizon’s branding on the front cover of the phone.

RIM will formally unveil the Z10 and the new BlackBerry 10 operating system at a big press event on January 30.

Here are some initial impressions of the BlackBerry Z10 and BB10 from our source:

  • The build quality is really nice. The back cover feels rubbery and snaps on sort of like the back cover on Samsung’s Galaxy S III.
  • The screen looks great.
  • The web browser is very quick, just as fast as a desktop browser. It also supports Flash.
  • You can set up separate profiles for work and personal use. This is good for people who want to use one phone for business and play.
  • It integrates with Evernote.
  • The new AppWorld store looks a lot like the Google Play store for Android apps.
  • It only takes one minute to boot up.

Here are the photos. Our source included an iPhone 4S in between the two BlackBerrys to help you compare sizes.

The BlackBerry N-Series has been more elusive than the L-Series. We haven’t quite seen so many leaks for the device. We did capture its first glimpse as a render in a promotional video.

Since then, we’ve only been given a Mr. Blurry Cam look at the back-side and front of the N-Series. Furthermore, we’ve learned the final production name for the N-Series might be BlackBerry X10.

Nonetheless, take a gander at these new clear photos of the X10. We finally see how the screen proportions look with icon rows. What do you think of the BlackBerry X10?

RIM’s first full-touch BB 10 phone to be called BlackBerry Z10?

RIM has a January 30 event on its calendar when it will probably officially announce its new BlackBerry 10 OS and the first smartphones to carry it. We’ve seen them leak several times before, but now a marketing image has made its way to the Internet. It shows the L-Series phone we’ve seen on video before, but this time it comes with a name – the BlackBerry Z10. We also got to see its white version, as the black one was the only one to leak so far.
The L-Series is RIM’s upcoming full-touch BlackBerry 10 line of phones, the ones with a physical QWERTY belong to the N-Series. The first of those phones might be called the BlackBerry X10.
From the specs that leaked earlier this year, the BlackBerry Z10 should pack some decent specs – a 4+ inch screen with HD resolution (720p or WXGA), dual-core Krait processor and 8MP / 1080p camera. That sounds a lot like the Windows Phone 8 current top dogs, so we might see some tough competition between the two platforms.
